Couple of Video Game Arts

So a little late in finding this, as the show ended on Jan. 28, but this artist Oliver Payne makes some 2D art pieces that directly reference Video Games. From press release associated with the show:
The exhibition title [Perfect Cherry Blossom] is not only a symbol for flourishing spring and peace but also the name of one of the most advanced and violent Japanese Bullet Hell Games. A video game made by gamers for gamers from a time before the gaming industry turned into a home entertainment device.
He uses stickers of the sprites in the game and overlays them on pages out of a catalog of ancient Greek sculpture. I definitely enjoy the works, but I'm wondering how far this relationship goes - do the works read with just a one-two punchline? Regardless, here's the link to the page I found which has a few more images, an an interesting statement by Payne talking about arcades. Also, some vids by Keiichi Tanaami, which are undeniably inspired by 60's pop art.

Additionally, here's a less "high-brow" (but perhaps no less valid) video of someone using the awesome Havok physics engine of Skyrim to cascade 2500 cheese wheels down a mountain.
