Knock Knock

Who's there?

Oh, just some folks from Blizzard
who are kind enough to answer our questions via email.

So, use the comments to produce 4 questions.
Only 4, don't want to distract them from Diablo III.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL

  1. Starcraft is one of your most beloved games and had the most permissive protection scheme of any of them. Why limit players to online only play? Is the bottom line really more important than game performance?

  4. There is a lot of speculation on why there are so many frequent updates in both World of Warcraft and Starcraft that reinforce the idea of class balance. What are the main concerns of Blizzard in doing this and why so frequently? Notably, in SC2, I've heard that the reaction speed for clicks-per-second has slowed down.

  5. Are there any plans in the future to cater to gamers who don't play the genres like WoW and Starcraft?

  6. (this stems off my initial question....)

In Starcraft 2, many of the terran units have distinctly different modes that they can upgrade to (like with Command Centers and Siege Tanks), but protoss and zerg don't really do this. What were the design process and ideologies behind these three races?

  9. what non-blizzard games are you playing?
What kind of art inspires you?
I probably don't have to ask this, but did you play D&D as a kid? Do you still play? Which version is best?
